At our weekly Shabbat Temple Services, we worship following the Biblical models of tabernacle and temple as Yeshua (Jesus) did (Luke 2:46-49). The earthly tabernacle and temple were designed after the pattern of worship in heaven. Following this model in worship positions us for freedom from bondage to sin and empowers us to enter God's presence as ONE in Him across all denominational lines and ethnic barriers! Apostle Markita Brooks' weekly sermons teach God's people to connect the Old and New Testaments. Our seasoned prophets give prophetic words and prayers, and our worshippers truly enter the presence of God! Even pastors and leaders who attend our services are REFRESHED and REFIRED!
The sanctuary at the Historic Antioch Baptist Church is configured to remind us of the importance of rightly approaching our Holy God, as it is complete with the elements of the Biblical Temple. Elders who minister at Antioch wear linen garments to remind us to allow God to cleanse us in His Presence, so that we can bless Him with our worship (Revelation 19:8).
The worship and sermons during our Shabbat Temple Services have a “Messianic” focus, which means that our worship and doctrine come from the truth of the whole Bible--revealing and confirming itself--and the Jewish Roots of the Christian faith, to include spiritual observance of Torah (the first 5 books of the Bible) and proclaiming the Gospel made in Zion.
Our Shabbat Temple Services are open to all. We encourage you to come as you are, and expect to leave transformed and empowered!

We do not host live Bible Studies at Antioch. Our weekly Bible Studies are hosted live at Congregation Or Shalom in Richmond, VA. They are called the "Messianic Midrash Bible Study" led by Apostle Markita Brooks on Wednesdays at 7pm Eastern Time. They are also broadcast via Zoom, so you can join us online to ask questions and contribute to the discussion or you can watch them on Facebook or YouTube.
